National Flag India

The Tringa is the national flag of India. The national flag tiranga is a tricolour flag of India.It is a horizontal flag having kesariya colour at top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal proportion. The Tringa is the symbol of our national pride.

In centre of the white band there is a navy blue wheel having 24 spokes, which appears on the emblem of India. The design of national flag Tiranga was adopted at the time of independence of India by the Constituent Assembly of India on 22 July 1947. The colours of Tringa have different meaning for us, saffron colour stands for courage and sacrifice, the white colour is stands for purity and truth and the green colour is for faith and fertility.

The National Flag of India Tringa should be made of hand spun and hand woven wool, cotton, silk or khadi bunting. The National Flag of India should be rectangular in shape. The ratio of the length to the height of the Flag shall be 3:2.
