Ranthambhor National Park is located near Sawai Madhour it is near about 100 kms far from ajmer Rajasthan. It was established as a sanctuary in 1959 In 1981 Ranthambhor was awarded National Park status. Ranthambhor National Park is an unmatched place in India. Ranthambhor National Park is located between the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges. The National Park have a big forest here which is known for the beauty and nature. The park derives its name from the fort of ranthambhor. Today Ranthambhor is famous for its tigers. The Ranthambhor National Park has a rich bird life as well including The Great Indian horned owl.

Ranthambhor National Park’s beauty is attracting many tourists from all over the world. Ranthambhor National Park is very nice place to see and take photos of wild animals. There are many tigers are protected in this Ranthambhor National Park.

Ranthambhor national park is specially famous for the tiger but it has a large numbers of other animals also like sambar, chital, nilgai, wild boar, chinkara, deer congregate, leopard, hyena, jackal, jungle cats, sloth bear marsh crocodile fox, caracal, rattle and sloth bears.

In winter months there are many birds and water birds can come like Jacanas, painted stork, black stork, white necked stork peafowls, parakeets, doves, storks, egrets, flycatchers, eagle, owls, grey lag goose, ruddy shelduck, pintails, black eagle and the famous crashed hawk eagle.
The Ranthambhore national park offers Jeep safari, elephant safari, cultural and traditional experience of the Meena tribes and night out in many hideouts of the park.

Best time to visit : October to May.
